Booked Camp Sites

The warnings have been coming. We tried to make a quick family outing to Asheville, NC in two weeks and found all the campsites were full for the weekend.
I have boondocking capability and planning my trip west this fall as mostly off grid (harvest host, casino, boon docking welcome) type sites. It has really changed.

Safe travels all.

Along with 10s of thousands of baby boomers retiring every day, we also have hoards of millineals and gen X, Y and Z who don't want to work 9-5 who are also hitting the road, plus millions of immigrants added to our population every year. Add to that all the YouTubers extolling the virtues of RVing and you have the perfect storm of over-crowding in the great outdoors.

Different experience here. Leaving on a 75 day, 25 stop, trip next week. Got reservations everywhere I wanted with no problems.

You do have to flexible and very creative when planning a trip. We are leaving Arizona tomorrow, and ultimately will end up at Lake Siskiyou on the 19th. We will be staying at six different RV parks while enroute, some because we want to, but a few because we don't have any other options.

RVing is cyclical. When the next economic downturn happens or as fuel approaches $4+, finding sites will become easy again.
