Temperature sensors
Looking for input on the best RV temperature sensor system to monitor the inside temperature when we leave the dog for the day.
Thanks

That’s part of my research... I usually rely on campground WiFi and we all know how reliable that is!!

My thinking was a cheap thermostat with an app for your phone

If you had reliable wifi and an old smart phone use an app called Alfred from Google play store.

I am currently researching the same thing as we have 2 English Bulldogs and they can't handle heat at all.
I am looking at something like this camera/temp sensor on Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FBBV99D...v_ov_lig_dp_it
It seems it would work for us since I usually set up a cellular hotspot whenever we camp for my work and for TV streaming.
Another option is the Marcell device
https://www.amazon.com/Sensored-MAR-...s%2C163&sr=1-3
It uses its own 4G cellular connection, much more expensive, and only offers temp sensing, no camera.
Good luck and please do let us know what you decide and why as it may help me decide too. Thanks.

Subscribing as we have searched. Our normal summer CG has mediocre wifi and spotty cell phone service - when it works at all since the closest cell tower is on the opposite side of Lake Champlain in Vermont.

Tempstick is what we use. It works great but we have independent wired telephone line for internet. It sends texts and or email to multiple phones or computers and graphs both temp and humidity so you can see the trend. The stick itself is really simple install. Just put batteries in it and it will communicate with a wireless router. Go to companies website and set your alarms and what phone numbers/emails and your done. Very easy and website is easy to use as well.
It is essential (along with a third AC) for our two Chihuahuas here in the SE New Mexico desert!!!!

We bought RV Pet Safety, uses cell phone service. Useful when WiFi is spotty. Sends us warning on our phones when temp gets high or electric goes out. Annual subscription is $100 or so. We like it.

We have a couple Blink cameras setup. Besides being able to monitor what’s going on inside, you can set them to alarm if temp exceeds a certain setting. Setup does require a WiFi connection; we use an older iPad to provide a hotspot connection for the Blink system.
