Any recommendations for safe campground in Northwestern Mexico? We pull a 35' 3121RL and would like full hookups.

You're rolling the dice for a "safe" place in Mexico. I would never take my RV, or any vehicle there.

Plenty of destinations in Mexico but sketchy as hell getting there. If I were to drag my Monty to Mex, I'd stay on the Baja side. I've been looking into a trip to La Pax. There's a couple of places on the beach. Downside is the water quality and you'll be hard pressed to get more then a 20 amp connection.

Nay sayers everywhere. The majority of negative comments come from people who have never been here. We have been coming to Baja for 6 winters now and love it. We have not had a safety issue any more than any other country, Canada and USA included. We are on a beach with approximately 60 other RVs, most of whom belong to Canadians, although there are Americans here too. For full hookups you will have to do your homework. We have solar, buy our water from reverse osmosis depots (perfecado) and use a blue boy to dump at the dump station provided here.

As I stated Baja is a safe place in Mex. Perhaps you could provide the name of the RV spot you're referring to?

It's crowded here now so, no I won,t on the forum, but there are several beaches like ours from San Philippe to La Paz for Raving. Our main concern travelling in Baja are the narrow roads, potholes, and lack of shoulders.

Even if you found a secure place to park your RV, you still have to drive to and from to get there and are exposed to dangers you will never fully be able to imagine. I could speak for more than hour from first hand experience from years back. Today I wouldn’t ever go there except by commercial air travel or cruise ship, to a well visited tourist destination. Never risk anything you are not willing to have confiscated, your vehicle, RV, your freedom. A simple auto accident can land you jail till the offended party is satisfied with their demanded restitution. Another biggie is accidentally leaving a firearm or even ammunition in your vehicle.

Check your insurance!!
According to my insurance company, American Family, my insurance coverage stops at the border.

Same here, and I've been there several times. In this day and age, if you need a passport, I'm not going.

We go to Mexico all the time.........but to only the resorts. A major difference from driving your own vehicle and a trailer there. Just remember, the rights you have in the States, do not apply there, and another issue is if you get injured while in Mexico, you could be financially screwed.
