On my rig, the grey and black tanks are located beneath the basement floor. I got access to the tanks from the top by cutting the basement floor (east to west) between the tanks. I cut out the holes for the pipes going into the top of the tanks for the floor can be slid out.

Old tank taken out from the top (after disconnecting monitor wires). I took apart the valve and cut the top pipes (taking into account that a coupler will be used to reconnect)
