Thermostat/heat pump

When the kitchen thermostat on my 2022 Montana 3931fb is set to “heat elec” does it operate on heat pump until down to about 40F oat then automatically switch to furnace? Thanks….. new RV owner.

Yes it was hypothetical. What I didnt mention is that we are actually connected to well water at 40 psi and the flow at faucets, etc is puny unless pump is on. Pressure at faucets with pump off is ok...
