The Champion is the same generator out of the same factory. You might be able to find one of them. If you check there are probably several more generators that are the same.

Most of these inverter generators are made in a few factories in China. The Onan 4500 and Champion 4500 are made in the same factory. They have the same species, weight the same, have the same size...

The reason a generator uses so much propane is it has 91,000 BTUs per gallon and gasoline has 116,000. So to accomplish the same as a gasoline unit it must burn more fuel.
