Have the exact same problem. All as I do now is turn it to Bluetooth mode and hold the pair button and it connects to my phone. Once and awhile it will connect on its own when I get in range.

I installed mine over the winter and they work great. However I’ve noticed that with them installed I can’t get the stereo to tune in any stations as soon as I disconnect the Tstats the stereo works....
