We have done the same leaving the lines empty...

We have done the same leaving the lines empty until we get further south. Instead of public restrooms we carry a couple of gallons of water in the truck for flushing the stools.

Remember the parameters for when the tank heaters kick in. And that is the temperature at the tank not the air temp.

I wonder if they have electronics in them to not come on until the air around the tank reaches a certain temp even with the switch on? I know a lot of the pipe heat tapes work that way. Sure would...
