Maybe. It depends on the orientation of the lube hole to the brass bushing. If you can t feel the grease gun pushing the grease in, then the hole is solid against the bushing with trailer weight on...

I use the leveling jack's and I always have the truck hooked on when I do . Probably not necessary, but I feel safer.
