Maybe the window shades were up while it was sitting on a dealer lot and the sunlight coming through may have yellowed the floor? Just a thought.

Try tapping on the pump motor with a hammer while activating the slide out switch. If the brushes are worn, this may work temporarily to get you out of a jam quickly.
