Since I use my iphone app to bring the slides in, I always grab the vinyl material on the slide and bend it
Up so it just lays against the island as the slide comes in until it touches the island....

Had a splendide stacked pair installed when we purchased our 3121RL. Used it a lot since we lived in our RV for 1.5 years. We love it and couldn't do without it. Works fantastic.
