Black/Gray Water Valve Leaking

When we first purchased our 2955RL last April, the customer service rep that did our walk around knew little or nothing about Montanas. This dealer in Redding, CA, stocked many different brands and Montanas were new to them. In any event, the RV had a slow leak out the black water drain point. You know, the kind that douses you with brown stuff when you take the end cap off! When I took it back to the dealer for repair, I was advised that the Kitchen galley drain valve was not closed all the way. Well, that's the first time I knew about that valve handle nicely hidden between the axles under the slide. Long story short, that wasn't the problem and I still have the leak. Having read elsewhere that someone had this same leak, I installed a Valterra valve right at the drain to prevent further surprises. This was a lot cheaper than having to replace a valve at the tank, especially since we have the Artic package and everything is covered underneath. Parts needed were the valve and adapters for both sides, all about $15. Just spliced into the pipe behind the drain and in front of the mounting bracket.
