The DW and I along with our 2 grandchildren are heading north to Alaska next June from Portland, Oregon. We expect to be gone about a month as we are only going to Skagway, Juneau and possibly Anchorage. I'm looking for suggestions on what to take or if you've been what did you forget to take that you desperately needed once you got there? Some questions we had are: should we take extra spare tires, a rock guard for the rear TV tires, extra propane, a five gallon can of fuel, how far apart are the gas stations, was diesel readily available? We also just purchased the Alaska Milepost and rented a video "Alaska by RV" which was well produced but left some of the questions unanswered. Any suggestions would be helpful.
