So lots of talk but nobody actually answered the original question. I will add a caveat to the question as it pertains to my situation. I bought a small scooter and receiver mount-about 300#. My receiver hitch on my 5ver is rated for 300# tongue/3000# tow. Does either weight need to be added to my 5vers pin or total trailer weight? My tow vehicle is good no matter what so no need to bring that up. Im not really concerned and am going down the road either way but, would like valid opinions. Locals with experience say IM GTG. Think about this before you answer, this could/probably does counterweight the pin...negative impact? Only the scale knows?
