I would choose nitrogen if given a choice for the trailer. Fill it and forget it. Not for the truck because I often raise and lower pressure for towing or going solo. Filling with nitrogen on a trip isn't so convenient.
If it's good for the aircraft I flew, it's good enough for the trailer.
