Some think you should deduct the pin weight from the gvw (or use actual scaled trailer weight with hitch on truck) to determine the weight carried and then air up to that. I don't agree. I like my tires to carry the entire weight of the trailer because it is literally impossible for every tire position or side to be evenly loaded. Airing to that assumption is going to leave a tire overloaded IMO. I'm sure others disagree but I prefer to err on the side of being cautious after having an expensive blowout.
