We are in the hydraulic cylinder business. Sometimes it turns out that you can have the cylinder repaired very cheap if it is not scored up inside. It could be as simple as a bad seal. Depending on what seal you need it could be as low as $10-$20. Labor to open it up and look inside is the variable. I'd say any hour and it should be open if you have all the tools. Most city's have a local hydraulic repair shop that can fix about anything. If the rod going down to the foot is bent, then that could cost more to fix that buying a new cylinder. They are really easy to rebuild if you can get it apart. Use Google to find a local shop. Make a call. It could turn out far better for you.
