We swapped out the king mattress in our Montana when we bought it. Replaced with a residential mattress - no rec on that, get what you like best! If I had to do it again I would NOT have the platform cut down - the original platform wasn't too wide for a queen bed. So check measurements before you get out the saw.
Also, we did have to replace the struts with stronger struts because of the mattress weight, but that was easy to do and relatively inexpensive.
