Not many long steep grades here in the Texas Hill country or the Texas/ Louisiana Gulf coast. This is where it will be used 95% of the time. For the other 5% we may venture into Colorado/ New Mexico . Hemi will be fine . 400 ft / lbs torque / 410 HP should be able to tow 12,500 K all day long with zero issues. Went with the 6.4 Hemi for the extra 1k payload capacity & couldn't justify the 10k upfront cost of a diesel engine & expence of required maintenance for where we tow 95% of the time . Here diesel fuel runs .40 cents a gallon more the Unleaded fuel.
