The onboard water pump will suck water from a barrel or jug. Some use it to pump antifreeze when they winterize. But that is only a few gallons. I too wonder if the pump can hold up to continuous use for an extended period.
I use a 40 gal. water bladder and a 12V water pump from Harbor Freight. It works really well and stands up to continuous use.
