OP here.
I've tried hard to find something that helps me find trusses.

I've tried a stud detector on an Arctic Fox, but it didn't work at all.
I installed four panels on an Arctic Fox without finding trusses and it worked perfectly. But finding trusses would give me piece of mind. I don't want anyone hurt.
My plans... I'm going to use strut channel. I will use a double sided adhesive tap between the struts and the roof. And I'll use several screws per channel. I know I'll be able to hit at least one truss by butting the truss up against vents or ACs. I'm also going to install a wind break to keep the wind from getting under the panels.
I don't understand why the truss locations have to be such a big secret.
While panels don't come loose often, it does happen. A 200 watt panel could easily go through a windshield and kill. Don't think we can be too careful.
Thanks to everyone
Tom
