I had a similar issue on a oven that had just passed it’s warranty period. We hadn’t used it. Our bad. After tubing etc I discovered a situation where the oven knob was not fitting the stem of the gas valve properly or the stem was not long enough to touch the knob when you pushed it in. Solution: take the knob off and stuff small piece(S) of tin foil into knob and put it back onto valve stem. In our case this worked. Good luck.
