Looking at your water heater picture, it looks like the water is coming out the anode hole where the anode rod goes in. Use teflon tape on the anode rod threads and do NOT OVER tighten it. It's a tapered fitting.
I am hooked to a water supply not running off of tanks what position should the water heater valve be in when hooked up to a water hose not running off with the freshwater tanks thank you I'm new to all this
