Just make sure your water heater is full before you turn it on. Pull the over pressure lever on the outside of the tank. It will let air out. Once water comes out, it is full.
Turn on the black switch (bottom left) on the outside tank.
You can use electric or gas mode. You can use BOTH if taking back to back showers (heats water quicker).
