I put it all in the front

I just recently upgraded to a 1300 Watt solar system with 600Ah of battery. I ripped out the generator bay and put it all up front, along with battery heaters that are programmed to come on if the battery drops below 40 degrees. I like the arrangement and I like keeping the basement for storage. However, I did have some issues with the battery heaters right after install, but that was a short term issue. I like the setup.
If you plan to do a lot of cold weather RVing, I would agree with others that putting the batteries under the stairs is a great idea. I considered it, but I wanted easier access.
