We have a 2020 2500 with the Ram Air suspension and we were having a very difficult time unhooking our fifth wheel, 2021 H/C 331RL. The camper would "jump up" as I pulled out and the truck siderail would hit the bottom of the fifth wheel where the pin is located! Finally, someone on this forum suggested just lifting the camper a little to get the load off the hitch. Then wait a few minutes and the truck will settle down as it re-levels itself with the weight off. This has been the best method for us. We tried putting it in "Jack Mode" but we did not have consistent results with that. We do not use the "Alternate Height" button either.
We have had no problems hooking up.
