Working on any voltage like that isn’t being grounded but having the line and the helicopter connected with the jumper brings everything to the same potential. This is just like a bird landing on the line. Lineman can also work out of an insulated lift bare handed on high voltages too. I never got to do that but did work on high voltages with rubber gloves.
