You don’t have to jump up to a dually to gain adequate payload over a 2012 2500. Just one year newer, and a 3500, would gain you a lot of payload over your current set up. Not a bigger truck, just more capacity.

My 2012 RAM 3500 SRW had a payload of 2910lbs. A 2013 RAM 3500 SRW jumps up nearly 1000lbs.
