We took our dually trucks through there. I would not take a rig.
It's not just the tunnel, it is the serpentine road on the west side of the tunnels that you have to navigate.
Many of our friends think we are bonafide crazy for taking that truck on some of the roads we do, of course we are crazy.
But, to repeat, we would NOT take our rig through here, that is just TOOOOOOO crazy even for us.
Plus the fact that we are 53 foot running when hooked up. Still, taking the truck down and up that serpentine road on the west side of the tunnel was a challenge, we had to make VERY long turns, aka, crossed over the line a number of times.
Good luck, enjoy the ride. There are alternative routes and having driving a couple of them, I have to say, they are just stunning and I am not sorry we used them. Something to consider.
