I almost always look at campgroundreviews.com. But you have to take the reviews with a grain of salt. Often times someone will give a park a very low rating because "the desk person had a bad attitude", "wifi was not good", "someone left trash in the fire pit", etc. without really saying anything about how good or bad the actual sites and facilities were. If the park reviews are generally 8-10 and there are a couple of 2-3 for (in my opinion) petty reasons, then I pretty much ignore those. And conversely, if the park generally gets 2-4 and there are a couple of glowing 10s, then I question the validity of those also.

I typically use google maps street view and satellite view to get an idea of a park before choosing.

I try to remember to give a review of each place we stay. Just wish more did to keep it more current.
I agree. If there are only a few reviews, I pretty much discount them and look somewhere else. I'll take an overall opinion with hopefully a fair number of reviews, maybe 8-10 or more. I've found that to be a pretty accurate accounting of a campground.
