Just looking thru RV Life Campground reviews link in the red banner top of this page - if I was picking a spot In Colorado Springs I would look at the one by the Air Force Academy. We stayed at the KOA years ago and the KOA toward Pueblo two years ago. Both were fine for us. I get “spam” emails weekly from Garden of the Gods RV Park because I think Sun owns them and my email is in Sun’s database. It looks good to me.

Are you going to try to make it from Colorado Springs to Telluride in one day or are you looking for stops in between? I have not done that route - maybe someone else can advise you. Again - RV Life reviews is my go-to for this sort of information.
