I've always covered my rv's in winter. I get pretty anal about winterization, so putting the cover on when all is done, helps to protect it over the long winter. I had an Adco on my Cougar that lasted for about 8 seasons. It was pretty much done by the time I traded for the Montana. I bought an Adco for it as well. I've never experienced any of the issues listed above. And yes, I leave a window cracked open. For me, it's money well spent. We tend to get snow around here, too.
