I don't use our pad heaters when we're set up. The furnace keeps the pipes and tanks warm enough. I have kept a remote thermometer down there and it never gets below 60 when it's cold out and the furnace is running. Since they are 12v. a lot of folks use them when they are traveling in very cold weather just as a safety measure. The TV will keep the batteries up.
