The fix
Well, now It's warmer, hallelujah. Got the tank repaired, but had a lot of brittle wires and some overheating signs at the relay which I need to replace.
Probably a good deal of sweating takes place that drips into the electrode connections inside the cover. Will be taking steps to correct that flaw.
Here's the fix, pressure holds at 30 psi with no other sign of leakage.
One minor mishap, forgetting to take pressure relief/back flow? fitting (pic) and ended up melting the innerds.
Any idea how to order another?
