We tow our quads on a small trailer behind the 5er with no problems. Sallie tows it also with no issues. By towing a small car instead of a trailer there would be no tongue weight and could possibly be easier on things than a small trailer. We are considering towing our old Ford ranger. It has a towbar attached and all I need to do is rig up some tail lights. I would then just take one quad in the back of the ranger. If we decide to do this we will buy a breaking system for the Ford.
On our way home from Az this year we met a guy in a park that was towing a large 5er with a Ford F450. Behind the 5er was a small Ford Ranger with a tow bar and a small trailer with two quads hooked to that. He said that when he gets to McDermit he would have his wife drive the Ranger with the quads. Did I mention that he was VERY long???
