Welcome to the MOC, as said you will get lost s of info and different variations of suggestions. As and example of our journey when we purchased our 1st 5th 3160RL in 2017. We had a Ram 2500 4x4 Megacab and we had ordered it with a 6.4L Hemi with 4:10 gears and set up for towing. Truck did a good job towing but in the end pin weight was to much, gas mpg was …….well let’s just say horrible lol. 2 years later We purchased a 3500 Megacab DRW HO and haven’t looked back, with a pin weight of 4780 and verified on the cat scales the 3500 DRW was needed for us.
That 3120RL is very similar to to our 3160RL but not everyone is loaded like we are all the time. Good luck on your quest
