I have some damage on my bedroom slide from the roller. I have been following these posts because I am looking at doing this repair soon. I have a couple of questions.
1. I already added some metal roof flashing to my slides to prevent the water from running under the edges. It cost about $4 for 12', so it goes a long way. $80 seems really expensive for a couple of pieces of plastic. I have a stock of heave gauge tin and some thin steel. Can I just cut some of that and screw it to the bottom of the slide since I don't need it to wrap under the side flashing?
2. What is UHMW?
