We lived on the Dade/Broward line in a townhouse during Andrew & stayed there through it. Never, ever again. It looked like Hiroshima just a few miles south of us.
We were in Panama City in our 5th Wheel as Hurricane Michael developed. We drove all the way to Biloxi to escape it as it built intensity.
The State Park that we left was evacuated & the 170 site Park was totally destroyed.
Don't mess around with tropical storms or hurricanes in an RV. Leave as soon as you can.
Excellent advice. When we were traveling north and south on the boat, we would enlist multiple weather sites to keep us informed on conditions. This one is free, and they send it every day via email, don't have to remember to look anything up. Marv's weather. During the tropical weather season, it's worth a look when tropical weather may be a concern.
