Hmmm, I one day I'll have to check where my Maxxis tires are made. It's shown as two characters in the Manufacturing code on the tire sidewall. I got my Maxxis from Discount Tire Center for a little over $200 each and thought I did pretty good pricewise. Got all five replaced and have had them for a couple or three years. They are doing well and I am real careful with them (checking psi, driving careful, etc.)
