I haven't used my rv lately but if I recall correctly you have to use the foot pedal to activate the sprayer. This allows the water that would normally go into the bowl when flushing instead go through the sprayer. I bought mine from PPL and the 320 was almost the same price with or without the sprayer. The sprayer a very good option to have.
