My grandfather in law traveled the U.S. extensively way back when. They had a map on the wall that highlighted the route they took on a trip all the way around the country. One of the things he said about RVing is to take your time. Stay longer in places instead of racking up miles in a hurry. Also instead of going back and forth from home to vacation spot back home, go to vacation spot to vacation spot.

We have a trip coming soon to CA. I'll have to buy a tank of fuel there. Not looking forward to that purchase for one, the cost. For two, the tax money they'll collect from me. But, we're going to do it, suck it up, and have a great time.
