You should be OK. It’s all electronics and typically either it works or it doesn’t. If something had failed and has since been OEM repaired then there is likely something new in that unit. Sometimes that’s actually better than a new unit. Any electronics can fail so it’s always a bit of a crap shoot. Garmin has a good reputation so generally their electronics tend to last.
