A tip is a gift, an expression of gratitude. Unfortunately, tipping is becoming an expectation thereby turning gratitude into a moral obligation. If those repairmen (or other service providers) truly take pride in their good work, they will likely not care to accept gratuities but appreciate the gesture. But, if you feel so moved by their service there is no harm in offering a gift.
