I had to rebuild one of our pendants, stripped out the threaded tube from the bottom of that fitting. I was able to get it back together with a short nipple. You might need to just drill through the screw that broke and just use a screw and nut, maybe black finished so it doesn't show too bad. They are a poor design, especially with all the movement when rolling down the road.
