There is a transfer switch that the shore power and gen connect to. It's usually in the utility compartment under the steps. If the gen is working and the TS is working you'll hear a clunk after 30 seconds of starting the gen. Best test is to unplug shore and start the gen. If you hear the clunk the TS should have sent power to your AC outlets. If no clunk then no power from the gen or faulty TS or wiring to the TS.
