We learned the hard way on our previous RV to check every cabinet door before opening a slide. For us, it's a two-person task since not all cabinet doors are clearly visible from the control center. We open the cabinet doors on the kitchen side of the sink peninsula and use a flash light to check the doors on the living room side. Same for the cabinet above the sink. Also, an item on our tear down checklist is to check that all cabinet doors are securely closed. Even so, an item can still fall against a cabinet door and open it or a bed enough bump on the highway can cause a door to open.
