Did you push the retractable foot section of the jacks all the way up before you retracted the jacks? I did this and retracted them too far and they locked up tight. I hammered out the pins and they broke loose. Now I always leave 2-1/2 pin holes showing before I retract the jacks. BTW, mine are electric.
