This is a confusing thread, inverters do not charge your batteries, they convert/invert 12vdc to 115vac and are used for resident refrigerators on RVs.
Converters are used to convert 115vac to 12vdc and are used for battery charging, etc., converters are normally located in the circuit breaker ass’y inside the RV, inverters are normally located in the basement overhead and connected directly to the batteries thru an on/off switch located in the battery compartment. If your RV mechanic is telling you your batteries are not charging because of a faulty inverter find another mechanic.
