I'm not sure the reasoning behind the trigger wire. I've read of some installs (not rv) where the trigger wire was just a jumper from the heavy gauge 12v input side of the inverter, therefore as long as the feed to the inverter is hot it works.
Interesting, I wonder if that is a difference between my 2019 and the 2021 setups?
