The other issue for us is that from 2008-2020 we had a female border collie-mix rescue that was not good with other dogs, so we did not go many places with her. We are "testing" our current Texas Heeler for situations with other dogs...the jury is still out. Our Aussie is a real sweet teddy bear and he is no problem with other dogs.
Thanks so much for taking the time to share those resources! All 3 are fantastic guides and exactly what I was looking for. Good luck socializing your heeler. I haven't met up with a Texas Heeler, but my friend has a Heeler and she's super smart, although she like's to run the roost, which is a common trait in the breed I think.
